In honor of several of the Manu’iwa OCC team members who are cancer survivors, as well as those within the paddling community, Manu’iwa OCC is raising awareness of cancer survivorship in 2011! This year, a portion of race proceeds from the August 6th race will go directly to CT Challenge to help fund their cancer survivorship programs. CT Challenge is non-profit organization that empowers cancer survivors to live longer, happier, healthier lives by creating and funding unique programs, offering credible resources and building a community of support.
